Privacy notice
What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. Written to be read rather than to be defensible: if anything here is unclear, tell us at ceo@chiefdeveloper.ai and we will rewrite it.

Who we are
This notice covers the ChiefDeveloper.ai website and platform. The data controller is ChiefDeveloper.ai, a sole proprietorship registered in India, operating from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Registration details are provided on request, and to any regulator that asks.
For any question about this notice or about data we hold, write to ceo@chiefdeveloper.ai.
What we collect, and why
When you submit the intake form. Your name, work email, company, role, and the description you write. We use it to reply to your enquiry and to scope the work you are asking about. The lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated.
Alongside a form submission we also send ourselves the scope our extractor derived from your own description (for example: which compliance obligations and deployment constraints you mentioned) and a summary of your visit: which pages you viewed and for how long, and what you configured in the pricing calculator. This is so we can respond usefully instead of asking you to repeat yourself.
While you browse. A record of that visit is kept in your browser's sessionStorage, which is scoped to the tab you are using and is cleared when you close it. It is not a cookie, it is not a persistent identifier, and it cannot follow you to another site or another session. It is not transmitted anywhere unless you choose to submit the form.
We use no cookies and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Server logs. Our host records standard request logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.
If you use the platform. We process the account details you provide, the content of intake conversations, and the project data you connect. Handling of that data is governed by your contract with us, which takes precedence over this notice.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not use your data, or your project data, to train models. Neither do the model providers we call: no retention and no training is a contractual term.
- We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking.
- We do not send marketing email to addresses collected through the intake form. If you write to us, we reply about your enquiry.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as the conversation is live, and up to 24 months afterwards so we recognise you if you return. Ask and we will delete it sooner.
- Visit records: until you close the browser tab.
- Platform data: configurable per organisation and set out in your contract. Connectors and any derived indexes are deleted on request.
- Server logs: as retained by our host for security purposes.
Where it is processed
The website is served from a global content delivery network. Platform deployments run in the region you choose, and can run entirely on your own infrastructure, including air-gapped environments where no data leaves your network. Where data is transferred internationally, that transfer relies on the standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. You can also ask for it in a portable format.
Write to ceo@chiefdeveloper.ai. We will respond within one month. There is no charge, and you do not need to explain why.
If you are in the UK or EU and think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date at the top of it. For material changes affecting existing customers we will make contact directly rather than relying on you noticing.
